Be Sure You are Protected
For people who just love doing activities under the sun (or even those who need to work under it), the major concern is the harmful effect that ultraviolet rays could do. There are many ways to be protected from the injurious UV rays and that is to stock up on clothing, eyewear and creams with SPF.
Clothing can protect the skin from the sun’s rays. Not all types of clothing can protect, though. There are factors to consider such as the weight of the fabric, its thickness, the color and also the amount of skin covered. Working clothing with a rating of 50 on UPF or Ultraviolet Protection Factor would be able to reduce the radiation exposure for any one who wears it. At this rating, only 2% of the UV rays would pass through.
People who need to do tasks under the sun need not only wear UPF clothing but also should have a product that has SPF to protect him further. In addition to this, the worker must also have UV-protected safety glasses that would keep the sun away from his eyes.
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and is the rating used for sunscreens and other products that are being used to protect people from the sun. There are many lotions and creams that have sufficient SPF in them. These creams could also come in the form of individual sunscreen packets that people could bring with them to the beach, while traveling, or even at work.
With skin cancer becoming more prevalent, it is always best to invest on these products especially when going under the shade is not an option.
